I have been an Athletic Trainer (AT) since 1998 and a Massage Therapist (LMT) since 2000. I have worked with both professional and amateur athletes including football, baseball, tennis, rugby, soccer, runners, cyclists, martial artists, rock climbers, dancers, ultimate Frisbee, body weight athletes and many others. I have also traveled with the US Soccer U-19 Women’s National Team including a FIFA World Cup in Thailand.
While in Chicago, I had the privilege of being one of three PT/ATs working with the Joffrey Ballet. I also worked with members of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, River North Dance Company, Gus Girdano Jazz Dance Chicago, the Illinois Academy of Dance, Ballet Chicago and several Broadway touring companies.
I have been a year-round bicyclist since 1996. As a poor college student in Chicago, I started biking out of necessity. I've been on 2 wheels ever since: rain, snow, or shine. I worked in the bike industry for over 10 years & was a professional Bike Fit Specialist for over 5 years before going full time in my private practice.
I have been bouldering since 2010, both indoors and out. I'm currently climbing at a V4 level.
I've been a vegetarian athlete since 2000. I'm a big believer in getting my nutrition from eating a wide variety of whole foods, not from a shake, bar, or pill.
When I'm not biking, climbing, skateboarding, surfing or hiking, I enjoy rocking out on my Kala ukulele with my partner Denice and our rescue cat Reggie.
